As the Leading House for the Latin American Region, mandated by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), the Institute fosters joint research cooperation and provides incentives to deepen academic ties with Latin America. Now in its second mandate (2021-2024), the Institute continues to drive collaboration between Swiss and Latin American institutions.
