Starting in the autumn semester, we will regularly bring the HSG community together at SQUARE to exchange ideas on the latest developments in artificial intelligence. In line with the university's commitment to knowledge transfer, we draw on the expertise of the School of Computer Science, the experience of the HSG Alumni AI Club, and the creativity of students to make sense of this rapid technological revolution while also shaping a practical and creative approach for the future. Exchange across the HSG community is meant to foster intergenerational dialogue, in which everyone can learn from one another out of their own fields of expertise and experience.
The challenges posed by AI can, at times, take on the flavor of a crisis. We want to counter this with the words of Max Frisch: «Crisis is a productive state. One just has to take away its aftertaste of catastrophe.»
Damian Borth, Dean of the School of Computer Science, will kick things off with a keynote address. We will then discuss current topics in the field of artificial intelligence in an Open Space format, hosted by the HSG Alumni AI Club.
For our second event, Prof. Dr. Martin Ebers, Fellow at the St.Gallen Collegium, will deliver a keynote titled 'Liability for Artificial Intelligence under the new Product Liability Directive: What Companies Need to Know.' The keynote will be followed by a moderated discussion.
