The EQx2023 will be launched on Tuesday April 25th 2023 with an event that will review and interpret the annual report’s global elite rankings and bring about an exchange about the sustainable value creation of nations.
We will start at 10:00 till noon followed by catering, will be a rich, immersive dialogue consisting of three interconnected yet distinct segments:
Part 1: EQx2023 Launch: Announcement of the EQx2023 rankings for 151 countries, and global press release
Part 2: International perspectives: The global research partners of the EQx project share international insights on value creation and extraction by their country’s elites
Part 3: Elites leadership: How can elites engage in structural reform and adjust their business models towards increased sustainable value creation
This event is open, and seeks to elicit vigorous discussion and contributions from students, academics and the general. As a result new awareness, insights and actionable ideas for elite transformational leadership might emerge and nudge the world to a more sustainable future.

Serious gaming is an effective way to apply theoretical knowledge, and game design can help university faculty create interactive and engaging learning exercises for students, both online and offline. Research has shown that academic courses that include serious games score higher on metrics such as student satisfaction and engagement.
Join SQUARE for a one-day workshop, where two experts in serious game design, Tim Goudriaan and Diederik Stolk, will guide you through the process of building a scenario-based game in the areas of geo-politics, business, economics, and security. This workshop is exclusively for faculty and lecturers at the University of St.Gallen, and prior registration is necessary.
To further prepare, we highly recommend participating in the "St.Gallen Strategy Days", a large-scale two-day serious gaming exercise held on June 1st and 2nd.

On July 18th-19th, 2023, SQUARE will host the Final of the First University of St. Gallen Grand Challenge, focusing on assessing cutting-edge A.I. technology in light of the upcoming EU A.I. Act. Six teams of professionals will compete for a prize of 100,000 CHF, awarded by a jury. The EU A.I. Act categorizes A.I. according to risk, and the Grand Challenge will reveal how this new legislation can be implemented on specific technology. The public can attend to witness the competition, and some A.I. technology will be on display. Participation is open, and potential teams should register for an online informational event on March 2, 2023.
