On November 11, in cooperation with AIESEC, we are thrilled to welcome Mr. Rösler to the University of St.Gallen, where he will share his insights on some of the most pressing global challenges of our time: the declining reliability of traditional alliances, the rising self-interests of individual states, and Europe’s relevance in Asia.

Automotive Industry at a Crossroads: Europe’s 'Automotive Action Plan' and Switzerland’s Options

The European Union has presented its Automotive Action Plan, a comprehensive strategy to boost the competitiveness of the automotive sector. Key priorities include the transition to electromobility, new funding instruments, and more flexible CO₂ targets. Switzerland, by contrast, has so far been cautious in adapting its regulatory framework to support innovation and competitiveness.

In this event, experts from the Institute for Mobility and auto-schweiz will discuss the proposed measures and explore what policy options might be available for Switzerland.
