Sheweavesautobiographicalexperienceswithsociallycriticalanalysesandimpressivelyshowshowdeeplyracismpermeateslife. At the same time, she illustrates how confronting these experiences can lead to liberation. Glover provides deep insight into the emotional impact on those affected and encourages readers to critically question their own thought patterns. She gives voice to the unspoken – gently, honestly and with great linguistic subtlety.

An evening about identity, vulnerability and the power of questioning. As part of the Action Days Against Racism, author, sociologist and anti-racism trainer Anja Nunyola Glover will read from her book, which has been very well received, at SQUARE. It provokes thought and raises the question of what a reflective and responsible campus culture might look like.
