Public events
What counts as 'data' in anthropological research? How is data stored, shared, or not, and with whom? How does data circulate and what are the implications? The competing logics of data protection and open science, which are increasingly regulated institutionally, shape research practices and relationships with informants.
The talk is part of a series of discussions with anthropologists based in Swiss Universities. It aims to open spaces to exchange on practices regarding data, strategies to cope with institutional requirements, doing collaborative research and sharing research results – including when doing fieldwork 'abroad'.
All events in this series are free, public and hybrid.
