Mission

SQUARE is a field of experimentation that provides space for constructive dialogue and a learning community to shape the future of learning at the University of St.Gallen and beyond. 

Our goal is to connect the HSG community from within and facilitate the transfer of knowledge across all age groups and backgrounds. By being curious, collaborative and creative, we create a place that fosters serendipity (the ability or phenomenon of finding valuable or enjoyable things that you weren't looking for). However, our openness is not random. We engage when we find common ground and shared values.

As an organisation, we are committed to learning from our experiences and constantly evolving. These are our most pressing issues at the moment: 

1. SQUARE Certificate: How can we build a true complementary curriculum at SQUARE that enriches the university experience of students and is integrated into the university diploma? 

2. New forms of collaboration: How to engage with business /corporate partners at eye level and encourage experimental cooperation which goes beyond traditional marketing or HR sponsorship deals? 

3. Comprehensive digital learning plattform: How to create a digital, e-learning outreach platform which offers what is best at SQUARE and HSG to a global audience of learners and alumni?
