Join us for the kick-off event of the new Open Science Office at the University of St.Gallen. We will introduce the Open Science Office, the people behind it, and how it can support your research at the University of St.Gallen. This will be followed by an interactive panel discussion featuring researchers who will share their insights and experiences with Open Science. The event concludes with an informal Apéro featuring coffee and cake, providing an opportunity to meet the Open Science Office team, ask questions, and network with others.
What is Open Science? Open Science refers to making research processes and outputs more transparent, accessible, and reusable. It includes a variety of research practices (such as preregistration, open data, and open-access publications) that ultimately aim to increase the replicability, collaboration, and societal impact of research. Over the last few years, Open Science practices have become increasingly important across research, teaching, and practice, and are now often expected in grant applications and top-tier publications.
What is the Open Science Office? The goal of the Open Science Office is to support everyone at the University of St. Gallen in implementing Open Science in research and teaching (such as offering resources, workshops, open science grants, and individual consultations). We complement existing university services such as the university library, Open Access and Research Data services.
