The future of global trade is at a critical crossroads, shaped by innovation, digitalization, sustainability, and inclusivity. However, the path forward is filled with challenges—geopolitical tensions, economic fragmentation, climate change, and inflation are reshaping the global landscape. To navigate these complexities, it is essential for policymakers, financiers, and industry leaders to collaborate and find synergies that turn these challenges into opportunities.

The IfTI Global Symposium 2024 at the University of St.Gallen is the premier forum for addressing these pressing issues. This symposium will bring together top minds from around the world—policy experts, financial leaders, exporters, and researchers—to exchange knowledge, share innovative approaches, and foster collaboration across sectors.

Among the invited personalities are international guests from various organisations, including:

•    Dr. Ratnakar Adhikari, Executive Director EIF, WTO
•    Esther Baur Reinecke, Head Europe, Swiss Re
•    Helene Budliger Artieda, Secretary of State, SECO
•    Dr. Marion Jansen, Director, OECD
•    Werner Schmidt, Global Head, Deutsche Bank
•    Eng Hani Sonbol, CEO, ITFC, Islamic Development Bank

From the University of St.Gallen:

•    Prof. Manuel Ammann, President, University of St.Gallen
•    Prof. Alexander Braun, University of St.Gallen
•    Prof. Simon Evenett, University of St.Gallen
•    Prof. Andreas Klasen, IfTI Director, Offenburg University
•    Prof. Kuno Schedler, IMP Director, University of St.Gallen
